Just an observation – The book by Vladimir Nabokov is titled “The Defense”. The movie adaptation of the book is called “The Luzhin Defence” (with a “C”). What up with that? I’m watching the movie this evening. John Turturro really pulls off the part of the withdrawn, socially inept chess grandmaster. More later.
