Benjamin Franklin Said It.

ben_franlin

“The game of Chess is not merely an idle amusement; several very valuable qualities of
the mind, useful in the course of human life, are to be acquired and strengthened by it,
so as to become habits ready on all occasions; for life is a kind of Chess, in which we
have points to gain, and competitors or adversaries to contend with, and in which there
is a vast variety of good and ill events, that are, in some degree, the effect of prudence,
or the want of it. And this we may learn by playing at Chess.” (Franklin, 1786).

Lagamino Turinys – Do The Chess.

Lagamino Turinys – a great Ska band from Lituania.

From their myspace page -

“Lagamino Turinys (in english it means Content of a Portmanteu) is a skacore (2Tone-Core) band from Vilnius, Lithuania, formed in the end of 2002. We have played over thirty gigs, but all in Lithuania and that’s a little bit sad, because we want to put up a good show somewhere abroad (mostly in Europe). So if you know someone who’s arranging gigs in Poland, Germany, Czechia, Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, no matter where — contact us and let us know about it. We would be thankful for your information. We play for food, some cash for fuel and of course fun. What is more, we have recorded our debut album “Black Suits” last summer (2005). You can get it per post and it will cost you about 2,5-3 Euro + postage (about 2 euro). Some mp3’s and one live video can be found on www.lagamino-turinys.hardcore.lt Write us and let us know what you think about our music. “
